
ArmInfo. Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan left for the Republic of Singapore on a working visit to participate in the 30th Annual Conference and General Assembly of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAPP), the supervisory authority reports.
On April 8, 2025, during the 59th session of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Prosecutors, held in Buenos Aires, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan was elected as a candidate for membership in the Executive Committee. The election of a member of the Executive Committee will be held at the meeting on September 9.
The Executive Committee is the governing and administrative body of the IAPP. It consists of the President, Vice Presidents and 20 members.
The Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia has been a member of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAPP) since January 1, 1999 and was nominated for the first time as a member of the Executive Committee.
About 450 participants from 80 countries arrived in the Republic of Singapore to participate in the annual conference of the IAP.
The Association was founded in 1995 and aims to support prosecutors worldwide in promoting the rule of law and ensuring the full implementation of the IAP's professional ethics standards.
During the working visit to Singapore, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia will meet with the Prosecutor General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Prosecutor General of the Kingdom of Sweden, the Prosecutor General of the Swiss Confederation, the Prosecutor General of Georgia and the President of the International Association of Prosecutors, the Prosecutor General of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
