Installation of  statue of Christ begun in Armenia

ArmInfo.  The installation of the statue of Jesus Christ has begun in Armenia and will continue on a large scale in the near future. Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia party and well-known businessman,  shared this information on his Facebook page.

He noted that despite receiving  numerous requests from Armenians  worldwide to help finance the construction work, the deputy took upon  himself all issues related to the construction of the statue. He  emphasized that given the great desire of people to participate in  this process, he has made a decision  to develop mechanisms that will  allow every Armenian from anywhere in the world to contribute in some  way: plant a tree, bring a bucket of soil, lay a stone, etc.

"Appropriate opportunities will be provided, and people will learn  how to fulfill their desire," he said.  Tsarukyan believes that the  statue of Christ will become a symbol of national revival and  internal unity.
