


ArmInfo.Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, received the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Magdalena Grono.
During the meeting, the Joint Declaration signed by the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and the US on August 8 in Washington and the respective economic opportunities were discussed. The interlocutors also touched upon the prospects for the unblocking of regional communications, within the framework of which Grigoryan presented the existing economic potential in Armenia. The discussion also covered matters related to the Armenia-EU bilateral agenda.
Note that Magdalena Grono's visit to Armenia was preceded by her trip to Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan. During the trip, she emphasized the importance of opening roads and establishing cooperation for the well- being of the South Caucasus. "I have a mandate from the EU to support all areas of regional cooperation and the normalization process. As partners, we stand ready to assist both Azerbaijan and Armenia in establishing regional connections, transport corridors and other areas, and are willing to continue cooperation," she said
