EU Special Representative for South Caucasus visits Humanitarian  Demining and Expertise Center

ArmInfo.  On September 2, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, Magdalena Grono, visited the  Humanitarian Demining and Expertise Center SNCO . She was accompanied by political advisers to the EU Delegation to Armenia Sylvia Zehe and Peter Swedberg.

As reported by the press service of the SNCO, the meeting focused on  discussing current mine danger situation in Armenia, the challenges  faced, demining efforts, projects supported by the EU, and the  Center's future plans and needs. Particularly, the need to acquire a  vehicle  for detecting and inspecting mines during demining  operations was highlighted. Magdalena Grono expressed interest in the   demining  work in Armenia and expressed her willingness to continue  cooperation and support in this area.
