


ArmInfo.The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia (MECS) and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China have signed a cultural cooperation program for 2026-2029, as reported by the press service of the Ministry, citing the results of the meeting between the head of MESCS, Zhanna Andreasyan, and the Minister of Culture and Tourism of China, Sun Yeli.
The parties discussed the possibilities of organizing joint cultural days, implementing joint programs within the framework of international organizations and initiatives, exchanging specialists, as well as sharing experience and knowledge in preservation and restoration of cultural values. They also emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral cultural ties as a key factor in strengthening friendship between peoples with a thousand-year history and rich culture. Minister Zhanna Andreasyan expressed satisfaction with the recent intensification of cooperation between leading museums in Armenia and China, as well as the organization of joint exhibitions.
In turn, Minister Sun Yeli noted that the direct flights between the two countries have created new opportunities for Armenian and Chinese tourists, making cultural tourism more dynamic and accessible.
It should be noted that in January-June 2025, 15,582 tourists from China visited Armenia, which represents a 35.8% increase compared to the previous year.
