ArmInfo.Artsakh can be surrendered on the map, but it cannot be torn out of the heart of an Armenian. And if the Armenian has not surrendered, then victory is a matter of time, as stated by the NKR National Assembly Member David Galstyan on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of Artsakh's independence. He is currently arrested "as part of a criminal case on an attempt to seize power" in Armenia.
The MP believes that the Armenian authorities have never perceived Artsakh as a homeland, but rather as a hindrance to their political goals. "They perceived Artsakh as a burden, not as a child. But they failed to understand one thing - Artsakh can be given up on the map, but it will always remain in the heart of an Armenian, and our victory is only a matter of time. I am writing to you today from the prison walls. From here you can see neither the mountains nor the horizon. But believe me, from here the value of the Motherland is felt even more acutely. Every moment of freedom here is weighed in the sanctity of the Motherland. And if I am imprisoned for loving Artsakh, then let this honorary cross remain with me until the end," the NKR deputy said. At the same time, Galstyan is confident that as long as the Armenian people maintain their steadfastness, the Artsakh issue will not be closed and, in the end, it will be returned. "Artsakh will be returned not as an unrealizable dream, but as a state, dignified, living homeland. September 2 is no longer celebrated with grand events, it is celebrated with pain, silence, but with hopes, hardened by trials. From this day the countdown begins. A journey towards responsibility, towards a new faith, towards a new Artsakh. And when that day comes, remember: we stood here with our hearts, not with power. In spirit, not by status. With truth, not with silence. As Armenians who did not give up," the MP concluded.
