Armenia seeking strategic partnership with India 

ArmInfo.  For Armenia, India has always been a reliable partner and friend, with whom Yerevan seeks to establish relations at a higher, strategic level. This is stated in the message of the Ambassador of Armenia to India Vahagn  Afian on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of  diplomatic relations between the two countries. He recalled that on  August 31 this year, Armenia and India celebrate the 33rd anniversary  of the establishment of diplomatic relations. "We highly value the  centuries-old friendship between our countries, based on mutual  respect, trust and common values.

Reaffirming our unconditional respect, I would like to emphasize that  in recent years our cooperation has been dynamically expanding,  covering such areas of active political dialogue and mutually  beneficial expanding cooperation as defense, information technology,  education, culture, trade and economic cooperation," the message  says.

Referring to the recent active contacts, Afian emphasized that since  2019, Armenia and India have been consistently developing high-level  political, economic, cultural and parliamentary cooperation. A number  of documents have been signed in the fields of diplomacy, healthcare,  technology and investment. Bilateral and trilateral consultations  have been held, Armenia has joined the International Solar Alliance.  Both countries attach great importance to expanding trade,  technological and cultural ties, while maintaining regular dialogue  on regional and global security issues. "Armenia and India have  maintained a vital partnership for centuries, based on our historical  and cultural ties. The Armenian communities operating in India played  an important role in the development of trade and cultural dialogue  in the 17th-19th centuries.  It was in India that the first Armenian  constitution "Vorogait Parats" was adopted and the first Armenian  periodical "Azdarar" was published, which became important milestones  in the dissemination of educational ideas.

This symbolic day is an opportunity to give a new meaning to our  cooperation. It is expected that transport links will be activated,  trade turnover will expand, bilateral cooperation will deepen and  such areas as green energy, road infrastructure, tourism and medical  cooperation will develop. In addition, the use of effective  mechanisms for contacts between entrepreneurs will allow us to cover  more interesting areas, giving the bilateral friendly relations a  stronger and more promising character.

Armenia is determined to make efforts to further deepen bilateral  relations and is confident that through joint efforts With our  efforts we will be able to achieve new successes in the name of the  future well-being of our peoples. I wish the two friendly peoples  lasting peace and new achievements," the diplomat summed up.
