Referring to the recent active contacts, Afian emphasized that since 2019, Armenia and India have been consistently developing high-level political, economic, cultural and parliamentary cooperation. A number of documents have been signed in the fields of diplomacy, healthcare, technology and investment. Bilateral and trilateral consultations have been held, Armenia has joined the International Solar Alliance. Both countries attach great importance to expanding trade, technological and cultural ties, while maintaining regular dialogue on regional and global security issues. The Armenian communities operating in India played an important role in the development of trade and cultural dialogue in the 17th-19th centuries.
