IBRD to allocate $1.5 million grant to improve environmental  conditions at Nairit chemical plant

ArmInfo. During its regular session on August 28,  the Government of Armenia approved a draft presidential decree  on the approval of the grant  agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the development of a program for environmental restoration and  regeneration of the Nairit Plant. Within the  framework of the document, Armenia will receive $1.5 million from the  World Bank (WB) for neutralizing equipment and chemical waste at the  plant, as well as for the subsequent chemical cleaning of the soil.
