


ArmInfo. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin and Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali discussed military cooperation and the situation in the South Caucasus during a meeting on Tuesday.
"During the meeting, the parties discussed several pressing issues regarding bilateral military cooperation and the prospects for their implementation. They also exchanged views on key issues of global and regional security, including the situation in the South Caucasus region," the ministry said in a statement. "In turn, Kazem Jalali noted the high dynamics and versatility of Russian-Iranian cooperation in the military sphere, and reaffirmed his commitment to its further development," the ministry said, Interfax reports.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the deputy head of the Russian military department expressed his gratitude to Kazem Jalali for his great contribution to the development of Russian-Iranian relations. "The meeting took place in a friendly and trusting atmosphere, reaffirming mutual commitment to furthering strategic cooperation between Moscow and Tehran," the department noted.
