Erdogan still pushing for corridor through Armenia`s Syunik

ArmInfo. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan continues to push for the corridor through Armenia's Syunik.

"The full implementation of the Zangezur Corridor project will  enhance economic cooperation between Turkey, Azerbaijan and Armenia,"  Erdogan stated in  a speech following a Cabinet of Ministers meeting,  Anadolu reports.

The Meghri route is a transportation project spanning 40 km through  the territory of Armenia's Syunik region. This route would provide  transport links between the western regions of Azerbaijan and its  exclave, the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic. The opening of  transport routes in the region was outlined in point 9 of the  trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, by the leaders of Russia,  Armenia and Azerbaijan.  Meanwhile. Azerbaijan is trying to  misrepresent the essence of these agreements and obtain an  extraterritorial corridor.
