


ArmInfo. Armenian schoolchildren won 2 silver and 1 bronze medals at the International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics in Mumbai (India), from August 11 to 21.
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, the Armenian team was represented by 5 students from the 11th and 12th grades of the A. Shahinyan Physics and Mathematics School. The team was led by Hrant Topchyan (Yerevan Physics Institute) and Artashes Mkrtchyan (A. Shahinyan Specialized Physics and Mathematics School).
In total, 288 schoolchildren from 60 countries took part in the Olympiad this year.
