


ArmInfo. With the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia, led by artistic director and principal conductor Eduard Topchyan, will hold concerts dedicated to its 100th anniversary in the regions of the country.
According to the report of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, musical evenings will be organized in a number of cities in the Lori, Shirak and Syunik regions. Thanks to this unique initiative, viewers in the regions will have the opportunity to hear high-quality performances of classical music. Famous violinist Sergey Khachatryan will perform as a soloist of the orchestra.
The program includes "Concerto for Violin and Orchestra" by Jean Sibelius, Overture to Giuseppe Verdi's opera "The Force of Destiny", "Waltz" by Eduard Harutyunyan and fragments from Aram Khachaturian's ballet "Gayane".
It is noted that on September 2, the Philharmonic Orchestra will perform at the Stepanavan Palace of Culture, on September 3 - at the Vardan Achemyan State Drama Theater in Gyumri, on September 10 - at the Meghri Sports and Cultural Center, on September 11 - at the Great Hall of the Kapan Cultural Center, on September 13 - at the Vagharsh Vagharshyan State Theater in Goris, on September 14 - at the Amo Sahyan City Cultural Center in Sisian.
