Armenia`s Investigative Committee completes investigation into paid  participation in rally last July

ArmInfo.  The Investigative Committee of Armenia has completed the preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on the fact of material interest and coercion to participate in the rally organized in Yerevan on July 4,  2025. This is stated in the message of the Investigative Committee of  the Republic of Armenia.

According to the source, during the preliminary investigation of the  criminal case, convincing data was obtained that a group of persons  offered financial means in order to attract more citizens, especially  from various regions of Armenia, to participate in the rally. A  criminal case was opened against two persons under Part 2 of Article  236 of the Criminal Code (obstruction of a rally or participation in  it, as well as a material interest in participating in a rally or  refusal to participate in it), against one person - under Part 2 of  Article 46-236 of the Criminal Code (obstruction of a rally or  participation in it, as well as a material interest in participating  in a rally or refusal to participate in it).

A preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against two  persons.

The criminal case against them was sent together with the indictment  to the supervising prosecutor with a motion for its approval and  referral to the court for consideration on the merits.
