Armenia`s premier builds election cycle not through positive agenda,  but through fear and external threats - expert

ArmInfo.  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is building the election cycle and the referendum on the Constitution not through a positive agenda, but through fear and external threats. Political scientist Suren  Surenyants writes about this on his Facebook page.

According to him, at the last briefing, Pashinyan actually confirmed  his intention to conduct the election process and the constitutional  referendum in an atmosphere of psychological blackmail: "If you vote  for me and my team, there will be peace; if you say , there will  be war."

"Moreover, he actually admitted that the Constitution is being  changed not by internal necessity, but by the demand of Azerbaijan.  In essence, the referendum is becoming a forced dilemma: in the case  of "yes", society accepts the vassal status of Azerbaijan, in the  case of "no", the danger of war is created. Such a dilemma indicates  that Pashinyan's policy has already led us to the fact that  constitutional amendments are not a sovereign choice, but a  consequence of external pressure and the threat of war. We can say  that Pashinyan, in fact, has resorted to psychological blackmail:  vote for the government, otherwise there will be war. Thus, he is  building the election cycle and referendum on the Constitution not  through a positive agenda, but through fear and external threats,"  the political scientist wrote.
