ArmInfo. Yesterday's shameful story involving Lidiya Mantashyan, whose arrest was extended by the court for 3 months, speaks about the current situation in Armenia. Former deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Naira Zohrabyan told journalists on August 21.
She pointed out the absence of representatives of foreign embassies and public organizations at the court hearings. She noted that these same groups who used to stage political shows by lying down outside the court buildings during the times of the previous authorities, are not present. She added that RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has received carte blanca from his foreign patrons to implement the roadmap assigned to him, the price of which is now evident to everyone in the country's courts, when citizens of the country are accused of attempting to commit a coup d'etat, including using edited recordings.
The full presentation of these recordings, as noted by Naira Zohrabyan noted, speaks of how public opinion can be manipulated. "It is already becoming a tradition when representatives of the opposition forces come to courtrooms, make statements, write statuses, give interviews, and then consider their mission complete. It is necessary to take concrete steps, it is necessary to find solutions, especially given the fact that since 2018 there are no more public organizations," the politician noted, pointing out the necessity to form a resistance working group or Resistance Committee. "We need a center of anti-Nikol forces, to grab by the scruff of the neck and bring to the court building the diplomats of those countries who tore their shirts when the rights of opposition activists were violated under the previous authorities," the former deputy emphasized.
