ArmInfo.Fitch Ratings, one of the leading international rating agencies, has released an updated report indicating a decrease in the likelihood of renewed conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Armenian Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan shared this information in a post on his Facebook page.
The document, as he reported, also notes that the peace agreement aims to enhance Armenia's creditworthiness in the medium term, revitalize trade through alternative routes through Turkey, and stimulate economic growth not only in Armenia, but also in the entire region. "Fitch has effectively confirmed our forecasts that the reduction of geopolitical risks in the medium term will contribute to Armenia's economic growth, while also mitigating currency fluctuations and fiscal risks.
These positive changes open up new opportunities for attracting international investment and increasing trust in Armenia. We expect a reaction from other rating agencies as well," Hovhannisyan wrote.
