


ArmInfo.Finland, which holds the OSCE chairmanship, has initiated necessary measures in response to the joint appeal of Azerbaijan and Armenia to dissolve the Minsk Group. This was stated to Report by Finnish diplomat Toni Sandell, Deputy Head of the Task Force established at the country's Foreign Ministry for Finland's OSCE Chairmanship 2025.
"As the Chairman of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Finland welcomes the agreements signed in Washington on August 8. These agreements are important milestone in the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the achievement of lasting peace in the region," the department said. He also noted that "Finland has begun the process of responding to the joint appeal of the two countries, and additional information will be provided later."
Azerbaijan and Armenia have jointly appealed to the OSCE regarding the dissolution of the Minsk Group. On August 8, the foreign ministers of the two countries' signed the document in Washington, in the presence of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and the United States. Thus, the Armenian authorities have satisfied another Azerbaijani demand, thereby finally closing the Artsakh issue.
