On August 16, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia Armen Grigoryan held a telephone conversation with Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Larijani. This was reported by the press service of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia.
As noted in the message, Grigoryan congratulated Larijani on his appointment as Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran and wished him success in this responsible and important position. The Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia emphasized that institutional ties have been established between the Republic of Armenia and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and expressed confidence that the implementation of existing agreements will continue, and new areas of cooperation will be outlined in the near future.
Larijani, in turn, thanked for the good wishes and emphasized that relations with Armenia are of strategic importance for Iran. He also added that the Armenian-Iranian bilateral cooperation has always had positive results, and he is ready to contribute within the framework of multi-sectoral cooperation. At the end of the telephone conversation, Larinjani invited Grigoryan to visit Iran.
