ArmInfo. The fighting spirit of a significant part of society is extremely noticeable when it comes to protecting of their rights, but such enthusiasm is rarely seen on the front lines where the future of the Armenian state is being decided. This is the opinion of political figure, former head of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia David Ananyan.
Today, a strange and dangerous dissonance reigns on the public agenda in Armenia. The objects of public feelings, emotions and protection of rights are in sharp contradiction.
One part is focused on the trial regarding the term of Samvel Karapetyan's detention, discussing its legal nuances and political implications. A smaller, but deeply concerned part spends sleepless nights, preoccupied with the ontological problems of the state, which can determine our historical continuity.
And a significant part of the public has made the issue of the unexpected and incomprehensible rapid sale of tickets for the Armenia-Portugal match by the Football Federation of Armenia the main object of their struggle. The fighting spirit of the latter is extremely noticeable when it comes to defending of their rights, but such enthusiasm is rarely shown on the fronts where the future of the state is being decided.
Against all this, the fact that the country is literally being taken away from us passes in seismic silence. And while the foundations of national existence are cracking, our public energy continues to dissipate in trifles, leaving unnoticed the shadow of historical destruction that is thickening over our heads day after day>, - Ananyan wrote on the social network.
