ArmInfo. Why and how did the discussion around the terms <Armenian history> and <History of Armenia> arise?, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, the first president of Armenia, asks.
<Today, on Hraparak's website, I carefully read an extensive article by historian Vahagn Hakobyan regarding the ongoing discussion around the terms <Armenian history> and <History of Armenia>. The name <Armenian history> has never been a subject of analysis in political terms, either by government officials or by historians, as it has been perceived as both the history of Armenia and the history of Armenians, that is, the Armenian people, and the history of Armenian emigrants.
In this case, the question naturally arises, why and how did the current discussion around all of this arise? The answer is very simple: everything comes from Nikol Pashinyan - a glorious figure who has no idea about history in general and the history of Armenia in particular, yet still considers himself all-knowing, even after a crushing and humiliating defeat from Azerbaijan.
Let me remind you how earlier, during a joint interview with Aliyev, Pashinyan stutteringly boasted about the achievements of Tigran the Great. It was difficult to imagine a more blatant and shameful manifestation of provincialism. Regarding the motive of the author of the aforementioned article, who wanted to please Pashinyan with his mental exercises, then, of course, it is not worth talking about. His fellow historians have already thoroughly responded to this,> Levon Ter-Pertosyan wrote.
