ArmInfo.Representatives from the Ombudsman of Armenia visited the Yerevan-Kentron penal institution to evaluate the treatment of the detained head of the military- patriotic organization "Black Panther", Serob Gasparyan. who participated in the first and second Artsakh wars.
As reported by the press service of the Human Rights Defender's Office, the visit was prompted by social media reports, as well as individual alerts received by the Ombudsman about Gasparyan's health status. However, the office of the Human Rights Defender has not yet reported on the outcomes of its visit, much less on the condition of the detainee. "Based on the results of the visit, appropriate measures will be taken within the competence of the human rights defender," the press service of the Human Rights Defender concluded.
