President of the European Council Antonio Costa said that the historic initialing of the Agreement on Peace and the Establishment of Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan makes a significant step forward toward a lasting peace for both countries and for the wider region. He posted this in his microblog on X.
"This week I had very positive calls with President Aliyev and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The EU remains fully committed to supporting its implementation," Antonio Costa wrote.
