A 1.687 hectare land plot with an estimated market value of 645 million 950 thousand drams, located next to the Yerevan TV Tower, and a 1.72 hectare land plot with an estimated market value of 658 million 586 thousand drams, located in the same area, have been transferred to the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia. The decision was made at a government meeting on August 14.
On August 7, at a cabinet meeting, Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan proposed to plant a forest in the territories returned to the state next to the Yerevan TV Tower. She stated that the proposed project assigns another 1.7 hectare land plot located near the Yerevan TV Tower to the Ministry of Environment. She reported that the cadastral value of the land plot, close to the market value, is 1 billion 44 million drams, which is equivalent to $2 million 686 thousand.
Thus, in the territory adjacent to the Yerevan TV tower, as a result of satisfying the demands of the Prosecutor General's Office, 5 land plots with an area of about 7 hectares have been returned to the Republic of Armenia to date, the total cadastral value of which is 3 billion drams or 7.8 million US dollars. All 5 land plots were assigned to the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia.
