Iceland welcomes  peace agreement  between Armenia and Azerbaijan

ArmInfo.  Iceland welcomes the signing of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington D.C. on August 8.

"Iceland welcomes the important steps taken by Armenia and Azerbaijan  to end decades of conflict. We strongly commend both countries and  the United States for the historic efforts to secure lasting peace  and stability to the South Caucasus," the Icelandic Foreign  Ministry's statement reads.
