Change in Armenian elites only way for recovery of Armenian society -  expert

ArmInfo.  Armenia has become a haven for a demoralized society and thoughtless elites. An expert, member of the Alternative Projects Group, Vahe Hovhannisyan, writes  about this in his article.

"Until we have the courage to admit that we ourselves are the cause  of our recent tragedies, for example, the results of the 2021  elections, our indifference to the surrender of Artsakh, the lack of  civic qualities, etc., nothing will change. Our society is not  offended by humiliation, losses, or even historical tragedy.  This is  a very serious problem, which both the Turks and potential allies are  already well aware of and are very happy with.

That is why they treat us like this. An equally serious problem is  the exhaustion of the formal elites. The obvious lack of the right  questions, active behavior, correct formulations and correct messages  to society at all critical stages, including the current  post-Washington one, directly indicates that a significant change in  the Armenian elites is the only way to recovery," the political  scientist noted. According to him, with a demoralized society and  exhausted elites, Armenia has no chance. "And, on the contrary, it  has real opportunities for recovery if elites with new qualities  appear, whose first and most important task will be to lead the  country out of the hell of demoralization," Vahe Hovhannisyan  emphasized.
