ArmInfo. Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, who coordinates bilateral relations with Iran, will visit Tehran on August 12. This was announced at a briefing on August 11 by the official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmail Baghaei.
And today, as Baghaei noted, a telephone conversation will take place between the President of Iran and the Prime Minister of Armenia.
The official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry noted that Iran is against the intervention of extra-regional forces in the South Caucasus.
"Iran, welcoming the expansion of regional communication channels for the purpose of economic development, emphasizes that these actions should not violate international law, international borders, national sovereignty or geopolitical structures. From Iran's point of view, the intervention of extra-regional forces in this region harms the security and stability of the region, and Iran has already openly expressed its disagreement," Baghaei said.
