Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed a similar opinion in Washington, while responding to a question about the potential risks of Azerbaijan not fulfilling the agreements.
He noted that the agreement between the parties was reached as a result of lengthy and detailed negotiations, indicating that the text and formula proposed in it correspond to the interests of both countries. "Accordingly, it is difficult for me to imagine rejecting this. For what purpose? To have what?" the head of the Armenian government asked.
Pashinyan reminded that now Armenia will be unblocked, Azerbaijan will have a reliable connection with Nakhichevan through the territory of Armenia, Armenia will have a railway connection with Syunik through the territory of Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan. Additionally, Armenia will also have access to the international railway network towards the Russian Federation, Central Asia, and China. "Through this project, we will realize the colossal transit potential, which will bring significant income for both countries," Pashinyan said, noting that he does not see any expediency in abandoning the agreement reached. He also emphasized that now it is necessary to enthusiastically engage in the implementation of agreements and projects.
