It is noted that the declaration of the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan following the meeting in the White House emphasizes the need to continue further actions to achieve the signature and final ratification of the agreement. The parties also reaffirmed the importance of the opening of communications between the two countries for the two countries for intra-state, bilateral and international transportation for the promotion of peace, stability and prosperity in the region and its neighborhood on the basis of respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and jurisdiction of the States. These efforts are to include unimpeded connectivity between the main part of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic through Armenia.
< The Republic of Armenia will work with the United States of America and mutually determined third parties, to set forth a framework for the "Trump International Route for Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) connectivity project in the territory of the Republic of Armenia. We confirm our determination to pursue efforts in good faith to achieve this goal in the most expeditious manner>, the declaration says. The parties also recognize the need to chart a course for a bright future not bound by the conflict of the past. < The conditions have been created for our nations to finally embark on building good neighborly relations on the basis of the inviolability of international borders and the inadmissibility of the use of force for the acquisition of territory after the conflict that brought immense human suffering. This reality, which is not and should never be subject to revision, paves the way for closing the chapter of enmity between our two nations. We resolutely reject and exclude any attempt of revenge, now and in the future,>, the declaration says.
, US President Donald Trump said following the meeting. According to him, Armenia is establishing an exclusive partnership with the United States to develop a transport corridor, the infrastructure of which will be developed by American organizations.
According to political analyst Hayk Khalatyan, the events that unfolded in the White House are a complete fiasco for the Armenian side, which was quite expected. The winners are Azerbaijan, Turkiye and the United States. Aliyev gained a road through Syunik, the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group, and the US refusal of the 907 amendment. Trump received another in his piggy bank for acquiring the Nobel Peace Prize.
And what did Armenia get, - the analyst asks? Did they secure communications through Azerbaijan to Russia and Iran - no. Did they establish the principle of reciprocity in the matter of communications - no. Did they secure the release of prisoners - no.
, Khalatyan notes on his Facebook page.
