Garnik Danielyan,  opposition MP from the Armenia bloc, shared this viewpoint on his  Facebook page in response  to the imprisonment of Garik Galeyan, the  father of soldier Mkhitar Galeyan, who died in the 44-day war, to 1.5  years in prison. "The hero's father is being imprisoned for pouring  drinking water on Roman Baghdasaryan.  This is unprecedented in the  history of the judicial system. Meanwhile, the Azerbaijan-loving  blogger Roman Baghdasaryan has been spreading intra-ethnic hatred all  day long without facing any consequences," the deputy noted.

In this vein, the oppositionist mentioned that Ara Rostomyan, the  father of the hero Hakob Rostomyan, who died in the 44-day war,  had  been arrested for 2 months. The deputy noted that he had also been  detained on fabricated charges for supporting the Sacred Struggle  protest movement. "It turns out that the representatives of this  government, threatening to cut off the tongue and ears, or spitting  on the citizen, have the right to do whatever they want, while the  father of a hero is imprisoned for an incident that does not contain  elements of a crime. The group of people who forcibly brought the  parents of the heroes to Yerablur have no red line. On August 17,  Mkhitar's birthday, Garik Galeyan with his wife and little son were  supposed to visit Yerablur. Garik Galeyan and Ara Rostomyan are  political prisoners. The arrest of these worthy people who gave their  sons to the homeland will not be forgiven," Danielyan concluded.
