ArmInfo. The Armenian authorities have brought things to the point where there are no specific discussions about what the state interests of our country are - negotiations are only being conducted on satisfying Azerbaijan's demands.
This opinion was expressed on his Facebook page by the former Ombudsman of Armenia, head of the Tatoyan Foundation, Armen Tatoyan, in connection with the upcoming meeting of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and US President Donald Trump in Washington today.
Tatoyan drew attention to the fact that the government's propaganda has been consistently hiding from the Armenian public all these days what decisions are planned to be made following these meetings. According to him, everyone who raises these issues is attacked and hushed up with the help of aggressive propaganda. "Meanwhile, the authorities are constantly changing their own positions on vital issues of the foreign agenda, proclaiming "red lines", and then crossing them themselves," Tatoyan believes.
He also noted that in conditions of complete uncertainty, Armenia has been flooded with information, with the help of which consistent, planned propaganda of the occupation plans and interests of Azerbaijan is being carried out. "Thus, many Azerbaijani demands have become topics on the agenda. It seems that the conflict with Azerbaijan is not connected with Artsakh, but with Syunik, with the sovereign territory of Armenia," the former ombudsman emphasized.
In this regard, he stated that the Armenian authorities, for the security of the state and its citizens, are obliged to provide the Armenian people with a detailed report on the issues that will be discussed in Washington today, and not to mislead the entire society once again.
