ArmInfo. The trial of Armen Ashotyan, former Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia and Vice-Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia, is expected to be lengthy, as stated by lawyer Ruben Melikyan in an interview with journalists on August 6.
According to him, the process of witness testimonies will be completed within the next 1-1.5 months, with three witnesses remaining. Following this, a prolonged period of presenting evidence by the defense will begin, requiring several months of work. The lawyer noted that the defense views the use of administrative supervision as a form of semi-house arrest for Ashotyan. According to him, transitioning from after house arrest to administrative supervision can be seen as a positive development.
