Country for Life Party presented proposals aimed at resolving  problems existing between Yerevan and Baku

ArmInfo.  Before the trilateral meeting in Washington of the leaders of the United States, Armenia and Azerbaijan, Donald Trump, Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev, the  Country for Life party presented a number of proposals aimed at  resolving the problems existing between Yerevan and Baku.

In particular, according to the party's statement, it is proposed to  enshrine a provision according to which Azerbaijan returns all  prisoners of war and detainees to Armenia, terminating criminal  prosecution against them. The parties undertake to mutually waive any  criminal prosecution, as well as administrative and civil claims  against each other's citizens, including residents of Artsakh, in  connection with the events that took place. The armed forces of  Azerbaijan will immediately withdraw from the territory of Armenia,  and the demarcation process will be completed within a maximum of 3  years based on the principles and approaches set out in the OSCE  manual "Border Demarcation and Delimitation: Challenges and  Solutions".

In addition, the parties must commit to eliminating mutual hatred  among civil servants of both countries and in the public sphere, and  to ending mutual obligations contained in previously signed documents  of both countries.

The party also proposes to deploy international peacekeeping forces  along the border and in the territory of the former NKAO on an  indefinite basis to ensure the return and security of the Armenian  population of Artsakh, and to ensure uninterrupted communication  between Armenia and Artsakh through international peacekeeping  forces. It is also proposed to open roads between Armenia and  Azerbaijan, including the integration of railways into the existing  railway networks operating in both countries, based on the principle  of sovereignty and jurisdiction of both countries.

The parties will also have to waive mutual payments for transit  transportation of citizens and goods of Armenia and Azerbaijan for a  period of 20 years, and ensure the escort of an international support  group when transporting citizens and goods of both countries through  the territory of the other country.

The international peacekeeping force and support group are being  created at the initiative and under the leadership of the United  States, the presence of other member states of which is carried out  with the consent of Armenia, Azerbaijan and the United States.
