ArmInfo. Judges Artak Karapetyan and Armen Danielyan, who placed Samvel Karapetyan in custody, have the lowest rating in the HelpCourt system. Lawyer Aram Vardevanyan pointed this out in a post on his Facebook page.
He noted that these judges interpreted Samvel Karapetyan's expression <participating in our way> (mer dzevov) made in defense of the Armenian Apostolic Church, as a public call to seize power. <Indeed, this sounds absurd and clearly shows politically motivated persecution. However, this is the reality, and the detention based on the decisions of these judges has now exceeded 45 days>, Vardevanyan wrote. He also mentioned that disciplinary proceedings were initiated against Karapetyan and Danielyan on July 18, but there has been no update on the progress of these proceedings.
