


ArmInfo. On August 4, the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, will visit Turkmenistan to participate in the Third UN International Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
As reported by the press service of the President of the Republic of Armenia, the President's working visit will last until August 7. The conference, held once every decade, aims to review past programs and establish new development guidelines for landlocked developing countries (LLDCs). The President of the Republic is also scheduled to have bilateral meetings with several foreign partners.
The first conference held in Almaty, Kazakhstan in 2003, adopted the Almaty Action Plan. In 2014, in Vienna, Austria, the Vienna Action Plan (2014-2024) was adopted. These initiatives have played an important role in addressing trade and economic issues in transit countries and developing infrastructure. The agenda for the Third Conference in Turkmenbashi includes topics such as developing transit and transport links, expanding digital connectivity, strengthening climate stability, enhancing economic sustainability and stimulating international investment.
