ArmInfo. Samvel Karapetyan has no political experience, but he has extensive experience in managing large systems. This was stated by the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan during an interview with the 5th Channel TV channel on August 1, touching upon Karapetyan's prospects in the political arena of the Republic of Armenia. According to Kocharyan, a political team will be created, which will include people with certain political experience. And, perhaps, as they themselves say, a team of technocrats will be formed - which will be something new in our political field.
"To build a business of such a scale from scratch means that a person has a gift, a flair for management, the ability to build relationships with the right people," Kocharyan noted.
Analyzing the current political field, the ex-president pointed out that in recent months there has been a lot of talk about the possible unification of various small parties.
"There was a general perception that there was one major force - the Armenia bloc. According to the polls, approximately 50% of voters are either disappointed, or want to see new faces in politics, or are confused about the topic of <old and new>. All participants in the political field are targeting these 50%. At the same time, some small political units were named that could interest this rather large electoral mass>, - he said. In this regard, Kocharyan believes that the appearance of Samvel Karapetyan in the political arena, in fact, largely answers this request: he is a new face, a person who has achieved success in life, has wide fame and a good reputation. This is a very good basis for the formation of a new political force. Everything else depends on how they will work.
"In fact, today there are already two large associations in the political field: one is the <Armenia> bloc, the other is the emerging force of Samvel Karapetyan, the scale of which is still difficult to predict. It has great potential, everything depends on how they organize their work. This is a fundamental change in the political field, because the electorate around which various small political forces tried to unite has now been sharply reduced for them," Robert Kocharyan emphasized.
