
ArmInfo. Former head of Kanaker-Zeytun community illegally sold kindergarten #147. The prosecutor referred the criminal case to court.
In particular, according to the information of the supervisory authority, on July 28, 2025, the prosecutor submitted to the Anti-Corruption Court the case materials with an approved indictment against the former head of the Kanaker-Zeytun community of Yerevan A.K., who, using his official position, appropriated kindergarten #147.
During the investigation, the Investigative Committee established that A.K., having the authority to manage the property of the community by virtue of his position, being the person responsible for the alienation of 141 square meters of the first floor area of the building at Dro 21A in Yerevan, which is the property of the community, signed the decision of the community council #86 dated November 10, 2006. According to this decision, 141 square meters of the kindergarten area, which is the property of the community, were alienated for 1 million 910 thousand 250 drams (1 square meter - 13 thousand 500 drams) without assessing the property to a limited liability company engaged in entrepreneurial activities. At the same time, the real market value of the property was 16 million 100 thousand drams.
On January 24, 2007, a sale and purchase agreement was concluded between the community of the Kanaker-Zeytun district, represented by the head of the district A.K. and the director of the limited liability company, according to which the property was alienated to the limited liability company for 1 million 910 thousand 250 drams. The community suffered damage on an especially large scale in the amount of 14 million 189 thousand 750 drams.
On July 25, 2025, a criminal case was initiated against A.K. under Part 3 of Art. 179 of the Criminal Code, adopted on 18.04.2003.
On the same day, the case against the accused A.K. was separated, and on July 28, 2025, the criminal case was transferred to the Anti-Corruption Court with an approved indictment.
In the near future, the Prosecutor General's Office will file a lawsuit to protect state (public) interests.
