ArmInfo. Digital catalogs of four lost museums in the city of Shushi occupied by Azerbaijan have been recreated. This was reported by the press service of the Artsakh Ministry of Culture.
Among the restored museums are the Grigory Gabrielyants State Geological Museum, the Shushi International Sculpture Park, the Armenian Dram Museum, and the Artsakh Carpet Museum. As specified by the Ministry, this initiative is a continuation of the work of the State Council for the Protection of the Cultural Heritage of the Occupied Territories of the Republic of Artsakh. Previously, the catalogs of six more museums in Shushi, which came under the control of Azerbaijan after the aggression of 2020, had already been recreated.
"All restored catalogs are in the public domain and were presented at a special presentation. Cultural memory cannot be seized," the Artsakh Ministry of Culture emphasized.
According to the source, the restoration of the collections became possible thanks to the initiative of the public organization "Artsakh Culture and Tourism Development Agency" and the financial support of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Armenia.
