During a working visit to Georgia, the Armenian delegation, headed by the Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan, visited the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, where they discussed the possibilities of implementing joint educational programs, exchanging experience and professional retraining.
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, within the framework of the working visit, the delegation also held meetings with representatives of the subordinate services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. On the first day of the visit, the members of the delegation visited the Public Safety Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia "112". Here, accompanied by the Deputy Ministers of Internal Affairs of Georgia Giorgi Butkhuzi and Alexander Darakhvelidze, they were introduced to the work of the traffic video recording systems and electronic monitoring used to prevent domestic violence.
The next day of the visit, the delegation, headed by the Minister, visited the Public Services Center of the Ministry of Justice, where the director of the institution Vakhtang Zhvania acquainted them with the Georgian model of providing public services. On the same day, according to the source, the Armenian delegation visited the Patrol Police Department, where they were presented with the reforms that had been implemented and plans for the future.
Darakhvelidze and the head of the department, Levan Maisuradze, spoke about the key functions of the service, and also demonstrated the vehicle fleet and the single service center, where services are provided on a one-stop-shop basis (allowing citizens to receive the necessary services in one place without having to visit various authorities - ed.).
At the agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the delegation got acquainted with the processes of registering vehicles and issuing license plates, as well as with the procedure for conducting theoretical and practical exams for obtaining a driver's license.
