Expert: "Sovereign" Aliyev initiated a war and blockade to allow the British to gain access to the Artsakh deposit

ArmInfo. The British company Anglo Asian Mining has started copper mining at a mine in Artsakh's Kashen, according to analyst Benjamin Matevosyan.

"Let's be clear: Artsakh and it's 120,000 Armenians of Artsakh were standing in the way  of Anglo Asian Mining accessing the Kashen deposit. In order to reach the copper, these two obstacles needed to be removed from the path. "Sovereign" Aliyev started a war and blockade to  facilitate British access  to  the deposit," the political scientist added.

According to him, the "sovereign" Pashinyan not only failed to prevent this, but also made every effort to ensure that Russian peacekeepers, who arrived in Artsakh in 2020 against the wishes and plans of the actors behind the war, also disappeared from the path of Anglo Asian Mining. "The concept of "sovereignty" in the 21st century has little in common with its original meaning. Moreover, not only individual states, but transnational elites with their large companies have become significant players in world politics. In fact, Aliyev and Pashinyan,  are simply hired managers (to put it mildly) in the hands of the same British company," the political scientist concluded.
