Ashot Danielyan, Speaker of the Artsakh Parliament, has expressed gratitude to the Belgian House of Representatives for the unanimous adoption of the resolution "Motion for a Resolution on the Situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and the Need for Peace in the South Caucasus" on July 18, 2025.
As reported by the press service of the National Assembly of Artsakh, the provisions outlined in this resolution demonstrate the principled stance of the deputies elected by the Belgian people towards recognizing the inalienable rights of the people of Artsakh, particularly, the right to return to their homeland and the right to a safe and dignified life.
In this regard, the Chairman of the Artsakh National Assembly reaffirmed his willingness to cooperate with all international partners and structures aimed at restoring justice, establishing peace and protecting fundamental human rights. The statement also emphasizes that such fundamental initiatives of international structures and states based on the priority of human rights are of exceptional importance in the context of the existing obstacles to the activities of the Artsakh authorities. "The unanimous decision of the Belgian House of Representatives is a clear and encouraging message for all who continue to fight for justice, truth and a dignified peace. The National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh reaffirms its deep gratitude to the friendly people of Belgium and the legislative body for making the voice of justice heard and countering attempts to conceal crimes against humanity," Danielyan concluded.
