Former Echmiadzin mayor Diana Gasparyan`s mother-in-law  accused of  money laundering

ArmInfo.  The mother-in-law of former Echmiadzin mayor Diana Gasparyan has been accused of money laundering, as reported by the Armlur newspaper. Asatryan owns the construction company , which illegally built private houses in Echmiadzin.

Earlier, the newspaper reported that the former mayor of  Echmiadzin  is facing charges of money laundering and abuse of office  by the Anti-Corruption Committee. It was noted that the criminal case  was initiated after the Prosecutor General's Office received  materials  from the Corruption Prevention Commission,  following an  investigation into an article in the media  about  illegal  construction in Echmiadzin involving Diana Gasparyan's mother-in-law.  A preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to  leave has been imposed on her  by the preliminary investigation body.
