


ArmInfo. During a visit to Athens, a delegation led by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MESCS) of Armenia, Zhanna Andreasyan, visited the Benaki Museum.
As reported by the press service of the MESCS, the Minister, accompanied by George Manginis, scientific director of the museum, toured the exhibition halls. Andreasyan familiarized herself with the activities of the institution and an exclusive exhibition, showcasing exhibits from ancient times, including samples of ceramics of Armenian origin.
During the visit to the museum, the Minister and the director of the Benaki Museum discussed prospects for cooperation with the History Museum of Armenia, specifically, the possibility of organizing a joint exhibition. The Armenian delegation later visited the Laskaridis Foundation, with Director General Konstantinos Mazarakis. They were introduced to ancient Greek manuscripts. The Director said that the institution also houses rare Armenian manuscripts. During the visit, the parties discussed the possibilities of enhancing bilateral relations and strengthening inter-museum ties, including potential patnerships with the History Museum of Armenia and Matenadaran.
