Deputy Zatulin signs appeal in defense of Catholicos Karekin II

ArmInfo.  Konstantin Zatulin, State Duma Deputy and First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with  Compatriots, has signed an appeal in defense of Catholicos of All  Armenians Karekin II, as reported in Zatulin's telegram channel.

"The President of the Forum of Armenian Associations of Europe, Ashot  Grigoryan, has sent an official letter to His Holiness Catholicos of  All Armenians Karekin II, condemning the pressure on the Armenian  Apostolic Church by Armenian authorities. The letter specifically  mentions the unjust arrests of  clergy members, the attack on  Echmiadzin and the reported plans to arrest the Catholicos. MP  Konstantin Zatulin was one of the signatories of the appeal. The  letter was also signed by representatives of the public from Great  Britain, Slovakia, Serbia, Moldova, Russia and Germany," Zatulin's  statement reads.
