ArmInfo. The Russian Federation is not going to "look into the pockets" of Armenia and the European Union, as stated by the official representative of the Russian MFA, Maria Zakharova, duringt a briefing on October 17, while commenting on the investments promised by the EU to Armenia in the amount of 2.5 billion euros.
According to Zakharova, most likely, this is about the money that was promised to Armenia by the European Union earlier. However, to determine the extent to which this promise is being fulfilled, one should ask Yerevan. "I can only say that in this case we are dealing with a classic of the genre, when the European Commission, the EU, NATO give out generous promises, and then, under the sauce of financial promises, enslave and continue to manage the processes, skimming off the cream and receiving benefits only for themselves. Moreover, they count the same amount many times under the guise of new aid," Zakharova said. She also added that the West's fraudulent practices include promising one amount and then giving half as much. "Or they may not give anything at all, citing that the conditions do not allow it or the state has not fulfilled this or that requirement. This is often observed in Brussels," Zakharova noted.
