
ArmInfo. On July 17, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan introduced the newly appointed Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan to the staff of the Ministry of Environment.
According to government press service, the Prime Minister first of all thanked the former Minister Hakob Simidyan for his work and expressed confidence that Simidyan's experience would continue to be valuable in political and administrative spheres, benefiting the state's development.
Nikol Pashinyan congratulated Hambardzum Matevosyan on his new position and wished him success, expressing confidence in the success of the jointly developed programs. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of developing appropriate solutions and competent activities, that will allow for direct economic investments to be directed towards high-quality environmental protection.
" In the future, we have other tasks ahead, including those related to the organization of the COP-17 conference and organizational issues. In this regard, I would also like to thank Mr. Simidyan, as the Republic of Armenia has been granted the right to host this event as a result of the vote. This is a significant event, that we must pay close attention to, as our country's reputation is at stake. Of course, this is a great opportunity for us to focus more on the environmental protection and sound environmental management agenda. Unfortunately, we do not always pay enough attention to these issues, and COP-17 is an opportunity for us to review this agenda," the head of state emphasized.
Hakob Simidyan, thanked the Prime Minister for the opportunity and his colleagues from the ministry for their productive joint work. He congratulated the newly appointed minister and noted that Hambardzum Matevosyan would ensure the continuity of programs and reforms. Hakob Simidyan also expressed his willingness to support not only the work of the ministry, but also within the framework of COP-17.
Hambardzum Matevosyan also thanked the Prime Minister for his trust and noted: "I assure you that we will continue to successfully implement the ministry's programs in accordance with your instructions and the government's program." The newly appointed minister emphasized that the activities on organizing and holding the COP-17 conference at a high level will be continued in full.
