


ArmInfo. A signing ceremony for the EIB financing of the Armenia - Sustainable Syunik program took place at the headquarters of the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg. As reported by the press service of the RA government, the signing ceremony was attended by the RA Deputy Prime Minister, Mher Grigoryan, and President of the European Investment Bank Nadia Calvino.
The agreement was signed by Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan and EIB Vice President Teresa Czerwinska. The program, outlined in a loan agreement amounting to 50 million euros, will support the continuous development of the Syunik region of the Republic of Armenia. It will focus on economic development of the region, as well as improving infrastructure in water supply, healthcare and education. The program will also address the needs of displaced persons in the host communities and ensure decent living conditions.
Mher Grigoryan emphasized the importance of signing the framework loan agreement and thanked the EIB partners for their work in preparing the document and wished for theeffective implementation of this important program.
During his visit to Luxembourg, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan held meetings with President of the European Investment Bank Nadia Calvino and Vice President Teresa Czerwinska. During the meetings, the potential for further cooperation with the EIB and the implementation of joint programs were discussed.
