Azerbaijan is taking actions that run counter to the views of the Islamic world, as stated by Senior Adviser on International Affairs to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Akbar Velayati, during a meeting with Pakistani Interior Minister Sayyed Mohsin Naqvi, who is on a working visit to Tehran, media reports.
"You have close relations with the Republic of Azerbaijan, but be careful: Azerbaijan is taking actions that run counter to the views of the Islamic world," he noted.
Velayati noted that Azerbaijan is organizing a meeting of the acting President of Syria, Ahmed al-Sharaa, "with representatives of the Zionist regime and is exporting oil to Israel at the height of the regime's crimes against the oppresses Palestinian people." Velayati called on Pakistan to demand an accountability from the Republic of Azerbaijan. "You should ask them why they are taking actions that go against the views of Muslims and the Islamic world," he concluded.
