Former Mayor of Echmiadzin Diana Gasparyan accused of  money  laundering and abuse of office - Media

ArmInfo. The Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia has filed charges against former Mayor of Echmiadzin Diana Gasparyan for money laundering and abuse of office,  as reported by the Zhoghovurd newspaper.

"The Anti-Corruption Committee is investigating a criminal case  involving abuse of office, as well as providing false information or  concealing data in a declaration," the source added.  The newspaper  also mentions that the criminal case was launched following the  Prosecutor General's office's receipt of materials  from the  Commission for the Prevention of Corruption, after studying the media  article "Diana Gasparyan's mother-in-law began  illegal construction  in Echmiadzin." The Anti- Corruption Committee has not provided any  comments on this matter as of now.
