Expert highlights need for new projects to oppose national negativism

ArmInfo.  Positive, large-scale, new public projects are needed to counteract national negativism in Armenia. This is what member of the Alternative Projects Group Vahe  Hovhannisyan writes in his article.

"We constantly discuss what forces and leaders will go to the  elections. But we never talk about what kind of people will go to the  elections. This is a frighteningly dark question, but the answer to  it will determine the outcome of the elections, and therefore the  course of events. We do not know what national motivating and  consolidating ideas exist now. Sometimes, and more and more often, it  seems that we have lost the understanding of a single society, a  single state, common goals and even some common norms of coexistence.

Before going to the elections, it is necessary to prepare society for  these elections. Any champion trains hard long before the tournament.  Without training, there is no victory. It is simply impossible.  The  same is true for elections. A low rating of an opponent does not  guarantee victory," the political scientist noted.

He wondered whether the Armenian people are sure that, given the  current "state of the region," society is interested in Syunik, the  corridor that is happening in the prisons of Yerevan and Baku, the  irreparable risks that are already overtaking the country, and much  more, the state as a whole.

"How to prepare society for the elections? The problem is clear:  transform the widespread irrational demand for change into motivated  voting. Launch several large public projects. Roughly speaking, in  order to bring society into an optimal shape before the elections, it  is necessary to prepare it. This is achieved through the  implementation of public projects that are organically interesting to  society, where people will see themselves and their participation.  This requires thoughts, resources and management. Will these three  factors coincide, and exactly one year from now a new reality will  come to Armenia? By the way, Nikol (RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan  - ed.) is doing the same for himself. Perfectly aware of his low  rating and the fatigue of society from it, he has launched several  large public projects: mass repressions, pleasant lies, social  bribery, criminal cases, arrests, a pleasant legend about peace, and  I am sure that a few months before the elections he will begin to  court citizens at the expense of the state budget. Positive,  large-scale, new public projects. This is the only way to bring  society to a state of readiness, so that simply by voting on election  day, changes will occur in the country. By the way, only with this  style of work is it possible to form a new government, neutralizing  all risks with irreversible losses for the state," the political  scientist emphasized.
