ArmInfo. Taron Chakhoyan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the RA Prime Minister, questioned the likelihood of Artsakh residents being able to return to their ancestral lands.
In a conversation with journalists on July 14, he pointed out the need for a realistic assessment of the situation. "What is the problem? Today, a resident of Nagorno-Karabakh can be directly recommended to return to their places of residence, but the authorities are well aware of the numerous issues related to their safety. We need to understand: is there a side that will ensure their safe return and residence. The whole problem lies precisely here," Chakhoyan said. He added that the process of establishing partnership relations with the states of the region is currently underway, one of the manifestations of which was the recent meeting between RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Abu Dhabi. The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister assured that some details of this meeting will be disclosed soon. It is expected that statements will be made in the near future, and some issues will be clarified, including on what was discussed and on which issues consensus was reached.
